Membership application and renewal
Renewals are only available within 2 months of your current membership expiration date.
Please note that it can take up to 2 weeks to receive your membership cards via paper post (up to 3 weeks during December and January). Membership cards are not issued from Tywyn, and as such cannot be collected. If you elect to receive a Digital Membership Card (compatible with Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in your mobile phone), then you will typically receive these faster, and you reduce the risk of travelling to Tywyn and forgetting your membership card.
If you plan to visit the Talyllyn Railway (‘TR’) please ensure that you take your membership cards with you. Free travel on TR public trains is only for members who are in possession of their valid membership cards.
By applying for membership you agree to abide by the Rules and Articles of the TRPS, which can be found here.
Members aged 16 and above are entitled to vote at our AGM. Online voting is available where we have a unique email
address for each eligible member.
Younger members (‘Friends’) receive their own special newsletter —
please ensure that we have an email address for them (which can be email address of a parent or the child).
Please ensure that you have applied for / renewed your membership in sufficient time to allow your membership cards to arrive before you might need to claim free members’ travel on TR.
In order to learn more about how we use your data, please refer to our Privacy and Cookies Policy, which can be found here.
